Do Tuscan lights de-value a Chimaera?

My Chimaera, if I keep it, will need a front end respray next year, I've always liked the Tuscan lights, but what I don't want to do is knock another grand off the resale price, in an already fluctuating market, so what do you think?

Depends on the car colour I think, personally I think it works OK on a dark colour and some of the guys here have the Speed12 conversion which I *quite* like.

Having said that, it'll never be done on mine as I prefer to classic look, and if there were 2 identical cars for sale I'd go for the original. but each to their own, like I said it works on the darker cars - as long as it is somebody else's.

Another Vote to not do it mate... The look of the Chim is one of the main reasons I bought one, so I wouldn't change mine... but then it's all a matter of personal taste

For God's sake it looks awful on a Chimaera - when will people learn. The front end of a Chim is too short and 'stubby' for these conversions - it looks cack.

Funnily enough though, I like it on a Cerbera,strange that

aha - thats what it is. Couldn't put my finger on it but thats the difference. I like the light conversion with the later front end, but with the bigger mesh it doesnt look as good. IMHO.

I think the Chim styling is a bit old fashioned and would be at odds with the modern small spot lights look, like it on other cars though.
Obviously just my opinion but having said that there may be others out there who might think the same when you come to sell.

A conversion I would like to see ideas on would be better lights for night driving using the standard light layout.

I had thoughts of replacing the front indicators with a more powerful xenon style main beam/spot light like on a Griffith but can't think where the indicator could be resited.

Have to agree with that too. Personally I like them and I'd love them on mine, but I've got a pretty 'classic' colour combination and I think it wouldn't look right.

If you have a more modern colour (some metallics + all of the flip paints) I think it works well. BRG (or some other dark green derivitive) wouldn't work. And that's what I've got. Bugger.
