I've got the plenum etc off, but how do I remove the trumpet base? I've unbolted it all and disconnected the fuel pipes, but it appears to have been siliconed to the manifold. Any ideas?

Okay, cheers for that! Manifold will be coming out anyway as I'm going to do the valley gasket at the same time. Expect a few more questions!

Sorted. A quick tap with a wooden block and a mallet and it came away without a problem. What do you use to put it back though, something like Sikaflex?

Excellent, thanks for that. I'd better order another tube of that stuff.
