Day trip to the Indian Ocean (big)
Discussion
The UAE has two coasts one on the Gulf which is where Dubai is and most of us live. And the other, much more scenic one, on the Indian ocean.
The weather has finally cooled enough to allow top down driving for any period of time so today I took the Chim on her first big run. 400km to the east coast and back with a lot of hooning through the mountains and along the coast road. Did it in around 4 hours and was back in time for lunch.
The journey is about 1/2 desert and 1/2 mountain and coast road, the quality of the roads are supearb including a couple of mad tunnels in the mountains
and while the driving is pretty erratic generally there are so few people around in the day that it does not matter.
Temp hit 35 degrees but very low humidity and no overheating problems though I was taking it pretty easy and not cruising at more than 130 for any long periods.
Car didn't miss a beat but I really should have worn more sunscreen...
A couple of pics.

Thanks
I didn't bring it here some other fool did that, but I have managed to rescue it from a pretty rough life.
Gets driven every day and seems to be reliable, taking it through the mountain roads really made it all fall into place, long sweeping bends no other vehicles and the engine roar echoing off the rock walls. Fantastic.

Lucky lucky man!
Mind you, we're all pretty damn lucky on here anyway aren't we!
