Any good guide links out there on how to remove replace the clutch master cylinder. Linkage to foot pedal looks a mystery, clip and nut! Bolts are ok just.

I'm going to replace mine soon, it's been leaking for 2 years. I got a seal kit for it (~£3.50 from speedy spares) and fitted that in situ last winter, but it only slowed the leak some.

It's a wee bit claustrophobic down that footwell and I had removed the seat. From memory, the clip is unhinged then fully undo the nut to release the connecting rod from the piston. Drain fluid from the slave cyl before starting (if there's any left).

ISTR the master cylinder is from a Hilman Imp or a mk2 Lotus Cortina, which may aviod the dreaded TVR tax.

I'm not looking forward to the job much personally.

Thanks Mark. Mine is a Girling master cylinder. Ok at moment but changing the clutch slave cylinder. An easy job as long as the 1/2 brass nut is not too tight.
