yikes That's a one hour flight for me. I wonder if it's a scam? Anyone local who could go and vouch for it for me?

Appears suspect obviously due to the price however the english is good and it's not the usual dodgy gmail address. Worth a call for somebody local!

If anybody is genuinely interested and wants me to take a look before they travel miles I don't mind as I live in Manchester.
Does look good but there's not much detail only bit that may also be a bit suspicious is free UK delivery, could be the old you transfer the money to my account in Nigeria and I will get my friend to drop the car off for you

Very good.

That complete car is less than I'm spending on my engine (and other bits) at moment so please be a scam to make me feel better....

I've tried calling the number - no answer and eventually went dead.

It could be that so many of us have tried calling the seller can't take any more calls - he has a headache. It could be he is out (perhaps selling the car to the first guy who's showed up). Or it could be a scam.

If anyne has any news/ info I'd also be interested to know the story.

David

Free UK delivery? Why offer that?

Dodgier than a dodgy thing.

For those who've tried calling without success, try e-mailing, bet you get you get a response and it will be along the lines of I'm currently out of the country but...

SCAM confirmed. Email response as follows:

Hi,
The car is still available for sale,it is in extremely good condition,100% HPI Clear, full service history.Currently I am on a business trip to Australia and will have to stay here for about 10 months (this is why I am selling the car and I am looking for a fast sale to finance the Australian project )
I left the car in CarandClassic.co.uk custody and they will handle the sale for me.The V5 logbook is already signed on my behalf so you can easily register on your name, the car will come with 2 keys, all service records and previous MOT's. CarandClassic will deliver the car directly to your home address and I will pay all delivery expenses.
If you are interested in purchasing the car just e-mail the CarandClassic Sales Department directly at support@sales-carandclassic.co.uk and they will assist you with any questions you might have regarding the transaction.

And just a remionder from the website:

At CarAndClassic we do not personally sell vehicles, or arrange finance or the transfer of funds. We also do not arrange delivery, storage or shipping. We do not put email addresses or phone numbers in the advert text box or the attached photographs. You need to be cautious of the content of any links you might see to web sites whether they appear to be to our site or elsewhere. It is not beyond the realms of possibility for a fraudster to create a site, or pages, that look like CarAndClassic.co.uk.

Just had exactly the same email. the email address to Paul and ended as Thomas.
and if he was looking for a fast sale surely he would have taken it to a TVR specialist and just said "give me what you want" or even High street showroom would have given more.
Is it possible to report it to prevent a poor unsuspecting potential TIV owner getting conned?.

Ok not quite the same thing but......had my large double axle caravan on fleabay 2 weeks ago, lady called to say she had been offered it via a Caravan Club advert for £5400, half my advertised price by a guy in France (they would deliver it etc etc) checked the ad and yes it was my advert on a different web site at half the price, rang the CClub and it was removed straight away
