Please name them if the site allows so others can beware. Had a similar problem with a MGB screen. Screen was in a frame not covered if it broke when the new one was being fitted etc. Cheers J C

HHMMmm..

Do tell, interested in this as well, as mine will be requiring a new one this year, was hoping to claim from insurance, as I've not claimed anything for the past 14 years from them for it. Figure they now owe me at least a screen in exchange of £75.

Well the details!!

Clean driver 14years

Never made claim etc

Policy is with sure term direct who are underighters, but the insurance is with enterprise

Fully comp

States on my policy £75 excess for windscreen which is fine and to be expected I guess.

Called them and after about 1hr finely go through to the screen People. They got a date to do the job in a weeks time as they said it will take 2 technicians to do it as its a Tvr lol wink hung up all ok.... 1hr later I get a call from them saying your excess is £75..yes... But your policy only covers you up to £125, and the screen is £547 inc vat so u have to pay £422!!

Long story short. In the very very small print it states only the first £125 is covered on your windscreen.

Not been a good day ;-(

...and who is their nominated supplier?

Does it say (on the policy) that all glass claims are capped at 125?

And, my isurer paid for the RG original screen first time, without a squeak.

Not helpful to the OP, so sorry for that, and I hope you find a way to get it fixed at a reasonable price / cost.
It's probably better to change insurers than put up with that kind of crap.
