After changing the colour of my Chimp last year the blue engine bits all looked out of place - too much blue with green paint or something I guess. Anyway, whilst I got the chassis sorted I subsequently went about changing the look of the engine bay a well. It went from this...

...to this...

...but now its finished I'm not so sure about the end result. What do you guys think? Should I leave it? Should I use blue silicone hoses again or leave it? Should I maybe add red ignition leads with the blue hoses to break it up a bit? What colour combination would be good with a green car?[url][url]

If you want to donate all that to me then please go back to the blue. I know its not going to happen.

It looks great now. You will get used to the look and love it.

Edit to add I wish my engine bay looked as good.

I have painted my rockers and plenum blue and they look good but that is on a starmist blue. Not sure they would suit a green car.

u def done the right thing, looks good under the bonnet and love the exterior colour.

I feel the gold rocker covers and flame trap are a bit bling on a military green car, I'd have left them silver, or made them the same colour as the body...

Black or gunmetal grey would also go nicely. Think Morgan 3-wheeler in a similar colour - you wouldn't see gold detailing on one of those...

Where did you get those water hoses from? I am gutted I've seen them having just spent quite a few quid on blue ones!!

Do you want to sell the blue hose from the swirl pot to the radiator? I'll be interested if you are.
