140 mph speedo or 180 mph speedo?
Discussion
Just about to order a speedo - the one I'm looking at is a stepper motor driven unit and is available as either 0-140 or 0-180 mph ... I'm thinking of getting the 0-140 mph version as it gives better "resolution" at the important 20 / 30 / 50 / 70 mph values and - well - if I'm doing over 140 I'm screwed anyway.

So does the 140 one go around to 20 mph when you're on the Autobahn doing 160+ leptons???

No - it should just sit at the end of its 270 degrees of travel...
It's the "Little boy syndrome"..........Look, the little boy says to his mate, this car can do 140 mph, says so on the speedo. Rubbish, says his companion, my Dad's Mondeo say it can do 180 mph........Will it really be difficult to say you're doing 30, or 40 or 45??
I'm sure you'll get what you think fit..........8-))
