"Kin Hell", That is some serious HP you are putting out. Not being familiar with rolling roads, is the torque figure dropping off when you use the nitros?. So with a full tank and good start is the magic 10 a good possibility?.

Torque goes ballistic on the gas but tails off as the bottle cools as it vents and liquid flow slows a little.

I ran 11.09 @ 128 the day after at York. Tens are there to be had. I just need to improve my driving.

I'll have to come and watch you run one day. Do you go to santa pod ever or are you mainly running in the north? Are you going on the tunnel run or to Brooklands at the weekend as would be great to have a chat and see your car. Hope you get your halfshaft sorted soon.

I fitted the original driveshaft back today. Be ok for Mallory on the 18th but not for running quick 1/4's.
The raceproved ones were ok while they lasted but i guess i now need Dave Mac replacements.

Come to the pod on June 1st. There will be a good turn out of the countries finest wink

Derek that's fantastic, what figures, 329 n/a.
What state of tune is your 450 in, can someone direct me to were you guys have discussed this Nos stuff before so I don't have to bore you!

So Derek if I had Nos and wanted moderate increases of bhp to say 370 ish moderate!!!! For say trackdays can you control the levels of power easily and if so how much to have installed!
Trackdays would be a hoot, hide it away and act normal, lol.

Last question, Derek do you have burst blood vessels in your eyes, I gotta see this car in action.

Serious point if used moderately to say 380hp will it blow my pistons to bits and on a track how long would a bottle last, if it's a push button affair could you tell me how many seconds of boost you get from a bottle and how much it cost to fill up.

To my mind most tracks have a couple of proper straights at most so I'd only be using it for a few seconds a lap, I'm just trying to quantify if it's realistic!

I'll get to the point one of these days, would I use a full bottle up on a hot busy track day!
Thanks Al

I will be at Mallory on the 18th and using a 70 shot on the straights.

The rule of thumb for useage is 0.8lb per 100 bhp for 10 seconds.

So on a 50 shot with an 11lb bottle you would have over 2 minutes.
This could equate to 20+ quarter mile runs or 50+ overtaking procedures.

To refill the 11lb bottle can cost from £55 to over £70. It can be difficult to find a supplier.
Some regular users hire a large bottle to fill their own and supplement by selling fills also.

Upto a 70 shot is very easy to achieve and quite safe for the engine. Simple measures are taken to ensure the mixture is on the rich side.

Hilarious, yeah he actually quite frightened me, weird seeing a crustie, quite out if place,,,,,,,, then this is a power crazed fuel fuelled kinda place.
Thanks Derek, I was going to Mallery but then I wasn't, I think I am now!

I've been thinking of chargers and the like, big issue I don't need it until a track day!!!!
8 days a year, daft. This is the one, can you hide the bottle in the boot.

I saw a car at Chatsworth with a bottle bolted diagonally on the rear panel behind driver. Was that you?

Cut to the chase so the cost of re fills is not bad, what's the cost to install and set up! Ta, I want it!!!

That wasnt me. I saw that car nearby tho.
Mine has a bottle on the shelf between the seats and another in the boot.
There are a few places you could hide 1.

A basic kit from Wizards of Nos starts at about £600 IIRC.
An 11 lb bottle is a must and a heater is a good idea.

If you come to mallory Alun come say hi. I may have an empty passenger seat for 1 of my sessions on track.

Mate that's like being asked if I want a go on the shuttle. Do I need a training regime to cope.

I'll get a ticket for the day.

Cheers Derek.
