Can't deactivate alarm

Guys have a 1996 chim with meta alarm. Key fob is broken but have used the pin override that slots into ignition socket to stat car.... Until
today. Put little override fob into slot and light stays on. Take bit out and it just flashes and doesn't stay on so can t can start..... Anybody how to override as need to start car in am. L
