Have taken it off again.

When the ignition is off the solenoid for the starter keeps clicks every five seconds.

Followed the instructions, what have I done wrong?

The black loop wire that you cut has another wire attached to it, something to do with the Tracker that is fitted to the car but not active, could this have something to do with it?

Any ideas anyone?

Cheers

The kit has been around for 8 years , first time for this. Has to be something to do with the "extra wire". I would suggest moving the wire to after the relay ( the fat red wire) as it may trigger the relay, it would not trigger the solenoid. The relay activates at .2 of an amp and the solenoid needs 12 amps. I can only imagine the tracker gets info when the solenoid is activated,.

Possible you have a dud relay.

When i was restoring / improving the electrics on my Chim i ran new looms to the windows and done the hot start mod. It meant getting hold of some relays.

So i made a bulk purchase of 10 of them from eBay. 5 of them were dud.

Just plain lucky, no possible cure. It is the wire before the run to the solenoid that is the problem, a 13 amp circuit that has a 6 amp drop.

Thanks for your swift response.

You were right, I'd attached the "extra wire" to the side that hsd the small wire. Switched round and all works fine.

Another satisfied customer. thumbup
