Didn't say that Trev - "...for the Chimaera."
Are you sure it won't fit? There is still a gaiter surround on your model isn't there?
As Nasz implied, us with early ones have the door opener sharing the same "gaiter surround".
So more than "sure it will NOT fit", sadly!!
Dodger, you said "...new gearshift surround for the Chimaera." ???
5 minute or 10 minute ?? Trev McM
thought it looked really soopa from the pic...then clocked the "saxo" comment above...hmmm.... just don't know now.
i think there's a fine line between sexy interior and max power saxo, so i'd need to be reassured by a saxo comment rebuttal before ordering
prefer the original ball gear shift though.

Ok happy to attempt a rebuttal
. The max power thing is only a worry when you are taking a fairly mundane car and trying to make it into something that it is not. The chim is a lovely sports car already and I for one think that this is simply a compliment to the interior rather than a pretention to something it is not. Will certainly be interested, anyone know target price?

Interesting the Saxo comment. It was made by someone who lists in his profile as having fitted a 'Sparco gearknob'.
While the shape of the gear knob raises comments it was designed for driving not looking at. Everyone who has driven with it (including some racing drivers) love it. It is more positive for the shifts with less chance of the hand slipping off on a quick change.
It is all down to individual choice.

A plain polished Sparco gearknob unlike that god awful quickshot joystick above.
It also lists in my profile that I have
Leven vents
Leven handbrake
Leven stalks
Leven kickplates
Leven wiper delay
Leven rake adjuster
Leven hood cover
...so I must have bad taste.

Well put Prof!
I think it's complimentary to all the other Leven ali bits - not Lax-Power at all (never entered my head). And I like the new gearknob too. But I would never have a stainless/ali dashboard!

I think in the right car it can look good, dark interiors mostly.
