A few weeks back my Chimaera was delivered back to my dad's house (I don't have anywhere to put it here currently) and promptly overheated. When I managed to head down for a look it ran roughly for a minute and then cut out. Things didn't look good.
The rough running was solved with a very straightforward fix. Namely, a couple of gallons of petrol as opposed to the vapours it was running on previously.
I had to return to London after that, but last weekend my dad trailered it to a local Land Rover specialist to check out the overheating. And sure enough it was another simple issue. Much as I suspected, there was an air lock in the coolant and the fan hadn't been connected up properly. So now ... everything appears to be okay.
I'm moving into rented accommodation shortly (long story) and will be losing my garage - hopefully temporarily. That has a Porsche 924 in it at the moment, which I'll need to sell on too, but pretty soon I should have the TVR back. In the meantime my father has kindly offered to exercise it for me. Lucky git.
