I got my PAS pump back in yesterday and connected the HP house to the banjo bolt. I've routed this slightly differently, so to avoid taking it right under the Y-piece. As with the return hose to the reservoir, which is the best way to route it? I was going to bring it down between the front of the engine, behind the alternator and down to the water pump outlet then across the top of the chassis. The hoses from Jonny Z are quite long, so they facilitate taking a different route. I find that taking the return hose under the cross member of the chassis just before the rack puts a sharp bend/ additional pressure on the hose. It's awfully crowded around this area, with the coolant hoses etc. I haven't cable tied anything down yet or finished positioning the hoses!

I want to make sure I get it right before I trim any of the hoses!

This is what it looked like originally:

Chris

I have photos at home of the route of all cables and pipes from when I took my old engine out and unless your query gets answered today I will post up later. However my feed from the pump goes a completely different way to yours and no where near the y piece. It comes from the pump, behind the crank pulley, over the top of the water pump and down to the rack.
The return goes from the rack, outside the down rail on the chassis into the drivers side suspension area, back under the diagonal downward chassis rail and back up alogside the feed over the top of the water pump and up to the reservoir. Not easy to explain!! PM me if you want to crack on today and I will ring you and try to explain!!

Cheers Ian, appreciate the help.

Not doing too much on the PAS hoses today due to the rain! Besides I need to get my trumpet base and plenum on so I can get the PAS reservoir attached and work out the length of the return hose. I think the original feed went the route you describe, but it seems to get very congested around the water pump and around the rack connections. Not sure whether to leave it as it is now you've mentioned that! I think I understand what you mean about the return. It took the same route originally, but the return hose was pressed under the heater coolant hose causing it to kink (as in the last pic). Would like to see those pics if you get chance later!

Exactly as mine was routed originally, I saw no need to change, so the new hoses follow the same route.

No issues functionally and a very tidy look!

Here you go Chris, You should get the routing from these two but if you need more post up and I will be able to sort it. Note the bracket holding the feed on the water pump.
