I am after some advice please. I have a 1998 450. The front offside brake caliper has some movement between hub and caliper. I havent stripped it down yet, just wondered whether it is a common problem and if so if there is a way to sort it out. Thanks.

Isn't the calliper bolted directly to the hub? Mine is.

Can you move the calliper by hand? Surely that has to simply be lose or sheared calliper bolts?

I havent stripped it down yet but the MOT guy showed me on the ramp. With the foot brake applied the bolt appeared to move in the hole in the hub bracket.

Have now inspected calipers and found bolts slightly loose. So I will get some replacement bolts refit with torque wrench. Not sure why they came loose as there was locktite on threads.
