Spare connector behind alternator...

Anybody know what its for? I'm pretty sure it wasn't connected before when I changed the original alternator, but there does seem to be a spare spade on the alternator, which has a rubber cover on it. Anybody know what this spare spade connector is for? It doesn't connect to the coil as I have all four connected to that.

I have a white wire that goes to the connector on the alternator as you describe.

Cheers, I suspected as such. Looks like it's been off for a while and probably came loose on the old alternator!
