Not a retro fit but a very early chimaera poss ex show car/ prototype. i have a copy of an early sales brochure this shows a similar set up but with door opening handles by the drivers left knee.
really? electrics before the cable? seems arse about face when they them went to electric in 97. Mine is a very early one and is like all others I have seen - twisting knob but next to the handbrake rather than in a seperate hole in the centre console.
The only other one I have seen like this was in MarkTVR_loud's chim which is an Mreg and had some updated features fitted such as the electric buttons under the wing mirrors. I assumed the electric internal release was of a similar era...

Yep,honest. The door openers are normal chrome handles down by the driver & passengers knee. the window switches are on top of the centre consol behind the gear lever & hand brake
aha, sorry - misunderstood. So the buttons on the centre are totally unrelated. I see! In Marks car those buttons are electronical door opening mechanisms.
So hand pulls by your knee on the earlier than early cars! learn something new every day...
cheers
