Having checked all the cooling system, which is all new ACT silicon pipes including the stainless swan neck, new Radtech rad and std theromostat following which the system was fully bled. The system holds pressure with no leaks however the temp guage wanders about between 75 and 60, the fans now come in when this shows a little over 72'ish so I'm thinking the engine temp sender.

Anyone know where on the engine block it is?

Mine too. It's rubbish. I'm going to get that gadget where you can tune the sender to the gauge and then use the Landrover sender.

The issue I have is that these ECU are programmed to think that the engine is in cold start mode if the engine sender is below 70 therefore possible over fuelling.

Thought I'd pop in a new sender just to confirm or if anyone what what the output readings should be on a meter?

Don't think that sender is anything to do with the ECU !

My Tuner studio reads much higher ..so its the duff setup and position .

The ECU sender is different to the guage sender. My guage does exactly as you describe since I bled the cooling system and I have no problems.
