100amp fuse / starter wiring
Discussion
Just a quicky about to start wiring things up, and i've identified most things, and what i think is the brown feed from the 100 amp fuse the the alternator ( need to buy one and the holder)
what feeds the 100amp fuse is it the red lead from the battery, and if so where does the starter feed come from I only appear to have one red lead that looks capable of being a starter feed

If you haven't a second lead then there is probably a short lead from the starter to the 100 amp fuse missing iirc.
So hang on - do you mean that the starter feed runs *THROUGH* the 100amp fuse?I haven't looked but I assumed that the feed to the starter from the battery was unfused and that the 100amp fuse was simply in the main charging feed from the alternator to the battery.
Took my starter and solenoid off recently and from memory : direct feed from the battery to one terminal on the solenoid. From the other terminal on the solenoid to the 100amp fuse and from the 100A fuse to the alternator. Not sure which terminal is which (one in and one out switched by the ignition wire) so I will take a pic tonight and upload.

The 100 amp fuse is feed from the starter motor, which is fed directly from the battery. I have detailed notes and pictures ar home of how the entire loom fits, PM me if your stuck.

Can confirm that. I was standing under mine yesterday, like you do, and noticed that the thick red cable comes from the battery to the starter (solenoid I think) and another red wire goes from the same terminal to the 100 amp fuse, which on my car used to be strapped under the chassis, but is now located higher to keep it out of the spray. A brown lead then goes from the other side of the fuse to the alternator. So it is a two way lead - from the battery to start the car, and to the battery for the alternator to charge the battery.

Good - this is how I understood it to be ...Unfused from battery to starter, fused from starter to alternator.
