Help, can't seem to identify the front flexible brake hose. Don't want to fit braided hoses, happier to go to local motor factor. The Lucas GHP34, Delphi LH1656 are not correct for my 93 car. One parts place are suggesting it off an LDV van? I'm looking online for catalogues in an attempt to identify the item. Any suggestions welcomed.

Please put me out of my misery so I can get on with getting the car back on the road before the summers over

Why not braided hoses, they are a lot better as you get more of a feel for the brakes as you apply them.

Firstly thanks for your responses and the kind offer of a spare. Having had a good look at the caliper and brake pipe on the chassis I'm now of the opinion that the Hose removed from my car was not the correct one (even though its not been a problem the 10 years I've had the car). The cortina Mk4/5 unit has the same taper both ends and I'll check tomorrow with motor factor that its compatible with the caliper. The hose on my car has a more rounded end going into the caliper and I may have wrongly assumed it was the correct part. If this is the case I've been trying in vain to obtain an incorrect hose that is now fortunately obsolete. I'll post my findings tomorrow hopefully clarifying my findings.
