Servicing/repairs in/around Southend Essex

Can anyone recommend a good place to get servicing/repairs done near Southend in Essex. My Griff is of an age that a fully franchised dealer stamp isn't necessary but good servicing still is.
As an aside my engine's approaching 42,000 miles, what mileage can I realistically expect before major surgery? Assuming that it's regularly been serviced etc
