Oh I see. Would need to be below the level of the sender or you'll get wet I'd say.

I swapped Interlink for Parcelfarce last week, after the Interlink driver broke my gate post in a fit of pique....

Mike, now that this humour malarky has finished I believe that as long as the tank isn't full you'll be OK.

As the sender is at the top it'll be a matter of just swapping them over.

Is yours Kaput, Have you a new one already?
Iit might be worth pulling off the connectors and making the circuit to see if the gauge is working. You might have done that?

Partially - not fully - so don't fully drain it.

hehe

I *SUSPECT* that he says to partially drain it in case you're one of these people that brim the tank right up into the filler pipe ... in this case then unfastening the level sender would send a good litre or so of fuel gushing into the boot (and this would be a "bad thing" (tm) )...

The tank is about 1/2 full, upon the advice from a TVRCC chap, I shorted the gauge and it deflected all the way and that "ensures" the gauge is OK so its the sender BUT the wiring is differant on my Chim than most others and the bibles wiring diagram, which doesnt help at all BUT then arent all bloody TVR's differant! I've got 3 wires on it with a black earth, making 4, the wiring diagram shows 2. A black n green and a black...I have a blue as well....maybe a low fuel level warning???

Sender fitted quite easy, shows 2/3rds full, but havent a clue if thats true or not, so will run it down and see if the extra wire is indeed a "low fuel level" light....(somewhere).

mike,
my 93 car has the extra wire as well, mines got a low warning light on the face of the fuel gauge, quite easy to spot.
