Just got back from work, parked in the garage, I then noticed relay type intermittent clicking behind radio/heater control area, everything appeared ok, stopped when I switched off engine. turned ignition back on, no clicking, I didn't try starting it again due the time and upsetting neighbours.
Mine's a '94' 430, any thoughts would be appreciated. scratchchin

Another mystery piece of wiring, I'm really not looking forward to delving around the rats nest.
If I can find what my noise is, I might brave it and replace the alarm as well yikes as I only have one key fob!

That looks like an immobiliser for the original meta alarm ... God knows why you would have one floating around with nothing connected to it though!!!

mine clicks too and it definately seems to eminate from the speedo area - why does it do it?

I think thats normal, trouble is I was parked in my garage at the time and it's not near the speedo!
I'll go and fire it up again in a minute and see what occurs.

That's the odometer clicking over 10 times for every mile.

Just ran the car up to full temp and no clicking noises (it looks like its going to be one of those niggles).
The indicator and hazard relay is in the same location, but the clicking last night was not regular at all and neither of above were turned on and I don't recall seeing any lights flashing off garage walls.
I'll keep you posted if it returns confused, thanks for help and any other thoughts welcome. yes

'heat creaking' as facia warms up? Like radiators do?

Mine certainly makes these noises when it is hot in there.

Yep, mines the same, 93 Chim. I'm under the impression it happens as there is an odometer but no mileometer (trip meter).

All quite normal and TVR'ish for an early model Chim.

Cheers,
