Hi All,
I am off on our annual European road trip in Sept heading for Spa for the 6 Hours. With the roof panel in the boot of a Griff there is surprisingly little space for too much else so I want to make a split roof. I do want to keep my existing roof panel for use most of the time but also have the split roof for when boot space is required.

Does anyone have a roof panel kicking about that they want to sell me or

Suggestions on where I may be able to buy a new panel.

The condition is not important as I will be getting it re-trimmed post cutting.

Try Steve Edwards, I know he makes single skin lightweight roof panels to go with his hard top conversion, no idea of cost but it's worth a call.

This may end up being a good practical solution for me but not sure I like the shape what the material section ends up being.
Also think that a split roof will be far more practical/flexible and maximise available space in the boot.

Do you have one? How have you found it?

The split roof offers less space imo than the folding roof - I've got the cirrus roof, a S&D split and a fixed panel. Used the S&D roof once - good idea but it needs to be secured somehow and you need to keep the 2 bits seperated otherwise they scrape against each other. The folding roof as the name suggests folds up to next to nothing and sits neatly on top of stuff in the boot. I keep meaning to try it behind the seats but keep forgetting We've got a roll bar and it may be possible to bungee it to that.
