I have my calipers and I know I need 283mm Sierra 2wd cosworth front discs.

However, does anyone have any recommendation for make of front disc and who can supply them, preferably before the weekend.

Not sure what pads I need, and again recommendations would be useful

thanks

I went with Brembo - I think these were the OEM standard for the Cossie.

+1, try EBC from Eurocarparts.

Try these: http://www.buypartsby.co.uk/details/FORD/SIERRA/2....

Used them many times, for sprinting with Competition pads - for road use try what they recommend? Discs about £35 & pads about the same!!

Looks like lot of people have gone for the Cossie upgrade..Been 100% happy with mine ,I know they are heavy but to be honest i can`t see anyone noticing difference in performance .

Do the 283 discs catch the caliper ? I may swop my 278mm discs for the larger 283 ,they are about ready to be replaced.

This is the rear upgrade from solid discs to vented (fitted on early cars) well worth doing.

Really, not just the usual Ford Motorcraft stuff?

Either way, we have boggo Ford discs and Pagid blues - had no issues.

They was Motorcraft yes I am using Black Diamond drilled and grooved.... Black Diamond are apparently prone to cracking in the drilled and grooved flavour but I have had no issues to date (I keep an eye) rolleyes

Did my first trackday with this set-up yesterday on bog std discs and Motorcraft pads. No issues to speak of other than slightly less initial bite but much more stopping power. I presume the less initial bite is because there is more fliud to shift (bigger pistons). Quite chuffed though and very progressive in the wet too, no lock-ups.

I got them from a chap via ebay (dealt outside of), the calipers aren't stamped 887/888 but are identical apparently as he sold lots of them in the past. I can forward his details if you want, but probably worth waiting to see if mine fit first
