Just wondering what is required to upgrade the rear brakes of my Chimaera 400 from the standard non vented solid 240mm rear discs to the later type 273mm vented discs. Obviously new discs are required but is it the same calipers and pads?

Has anybody made this change or worked out what is required?

Vented disc it wider, you'll need different calipers (think pads are same).

Took me some time to get my head around the conversion ,worked out well in the end.

Picked the bearing carriers up for £30 from a Cosworth breakers in Lincolnshire ..

My front and rear conversion is so balanced with the 887 888 conversion up front and the later 272 vented discs on the rear.

You can sell your old brakes ,bearing carriers ,callipers and carriers to the TVR S owners ,its a bolt on upgrade and get rid of there drum brakes.
