I am considering buying a 4.0 Disco with a slipped liner.

Could I use my spare 5.0 RV8 bottom end with all the Gems 4.0 externals?

I know they have a cam sensor etc.

It would be good to fit a different cam, say the Typhoon, a good all rounder but will that work with the cam sensor.

I would want to run all the standard bits on it, not make it an out and out power engine. A little more torque and power would be desirable.

This car is also running LPG.

The 5.0 needs big valves and ported heads to flow enough!

Heavy cars wear more on these engines, so what you want is a 4.6 or 5.0 with top hat liners and crossbolted bottom end... Or youll have slipped liners again
