Hi guys,

Does anyone have a spare BONNET LOCK LATCH to give me or sell me cheaply, please.

Basically I have an issue with mine and have tried to fix it but it seams that i am not managing, so I guess the best would be to get a complete assembly.

Thanks in advance,

Frenchie

Hi Sir,

I believe I will be going to the Ace, after the baby's bath time... so i guess will be there between 19h30 & 20h00.

Will not go on the Vespas, not the TVR...

See you then...

Nice one Peter.

It may be we can get away with just the little spring arrowed below.

Frenchie, it's this essential little spring that's been broken on your car for years & clearly the heat got to it recently pushing it over the edge.

My mistake was touching it, but to be fair it was a failure waiting to happen.

If Peter brings the catch I'll fit it for you at the Ace on Wednesday mate.

IMPORTANT: We also need the plastic sleeve for the bonnet pin

Can anyone tell me the right size plastic pipe for this please?

See arrow below.

I use a plastic/nylon shipping plug/bung (what they put on new cylinder heads gearboxes etc to stop the studs getting damaged during transit) takes the 8mm dia pin up to 10mm dia biggrin

Spot on Simon, I know the stuff you mean.

But being a desk jockey these days I have no idea where I can lay my hands on some for Wednesday.

Any idea where we can get said thread sleeve, or perhaps you fancy a trip to the Ace this week?

I was looking at some PVC pipe with an 8mm ID?
