Ok ok I know some of you will throw up at the thought of it but hear me out.
The veneer on main part of the dash is perfect but the radio panel was badly cracked & lifting. While wandering round Halfords I spied some fake walnut on a roll. It looked like a close match so I bought it.
To cut a long story short, while it is no subsitute for the real thing, it isn't half bad. It's certainly better than I was expecting. Well worth £20 & half an hour to tidy up th interior (just don't get carried away. I've also done the ashtrays

Heat it up with a hairdrier & the film stretches to conform to almost any shape.
BTW I'm not cheap........I just happen to be as tight as a ducks arse!
Which reminds me of a joke:
Jock McTavish was up in court for buggering his cat.
The case was dismissed cos the judge refused to believe a Scotsman would put anything into a kitty.

Also:
Treat your woman like you treat your hoover.
When it stops sucking - change the bag.

Now I really must get some work done.

amazed this roll on veneer-like stuff is possible.

My radio dash was peeling... i looked at leven but decided on a new veneer lower dash to match the larger upper dash. Cost an absolute fortune but obviously looks immaculate

still, i'd be interested to see some pics of the roll-on for a comparison.

I've tried posting pics on here but my camera's too big to go into the floppy drive slot thing on my computer.

I think I need a thinner camera. Or a bigger floppy (ooeerrr missus).
