I'd have said it's probably a Kent 218 Fast Road... but yep, I'd ring and ask smile

Kent 218, same as me. A good all rounder, but not for HP. Good for longevity though.

Me too, but a lot of builders seem to go for it. I think there's a video of a car at Lloyds with one done.

It is middle of the road from what I understand and delivers good torque, but a marked step-up from the TVR original. I guess you may get an additional 10-20bhp from a better cam, depending how extreme you want to go. Not cheap to do though! I would be inclined to do my ECU first.

Don't be tempted to think that the 218 is a crap cam, yes for absolute power its no where near the best, but as a road cam its good, think about how you drive your car and the amount of time you spend flat out ....bhp for race cars, torque for road cars every day.

What sort of difference would you expect between the 218 and something like the Stealth in terms of horses? Will the Stealth produce less torque and more BHP and vice versa for the 218?

I believed the 218 to be a good all rounder, giving much better BHP and torque than the original TVR cam?

Id expect the stealth to be better ... though may be less midrange but more top end horsepower ...better road cam? debatable

But I think looking at things as a package of tuning mods is the better approach ratherthan focussing on one element

As Lloyd's say on their website, the 218 is a great all round cam.
