The 'Secret' Way In.

Saw a thread recently (tried Search, couldn't find it) about the secret way in once the battery is flat and the remote isn't working.

Is this the TVR equivalent of a funny handshake and would anybody care to enlighten me in anticipation of the inevitable?

(And I just read V8 Keirans thread but it's too cryptic for me. Is there a 'one cures all' answer or does it vary according to immobiliser or alarm?)
