Just had the wheels of my Chimaera for a general inspection and spotted this hole that looks as though it is missing a bolt....in the front o/s arch

I assume it should have one in?

Based purely on the observation that the thread is(looks) clean and there is a mark where the washer/bolt head was, I would say yes.

I can't be bothered to walk outside (sorry) but looking at photos in the bible that was laying next to me it looks like it should have a brake line going through it, which is worrying hehe

The shiny threads were suggesting to me that a bolt once lived here!

Anyone know the size/thread type of an engine mount bolt?

Thanks.

P.S. Always worth a look around with a torch when you have a spare hour or two!

For reference I have found that the set screw that attaches the engine mount to the block is a 7/16 UNC 1" length.

Denotes the American heritage of the block I assume.
