Anyone tried PX'ing recently?
Discussion
I am dabbling with the idea of a Tuscan S and am in the process of approaching some dealers ref PXing my Chim for one. Has anyone been given quotes to px their cars recently - if so have they been surprisingly good or a lot less than expected?
I was wondering if dealers are really shying away from Chimaeras as they get older ( and time of year ) or whether they are offering realistic px prices to move their own stock on. Im aware that I will always get more selling privately but would be interested in anyones recent px experiences.
Thanks in advance.

just look how cheap they are in the pistonheads ads,
pick one as near to yours as poss, then knock of about 3 grand, this will be what a dealer will roughly offer you, good luck.
Thanks Chaps, seems to be about the general consensus, 10-12k subject to viewing although the reaosn I started the thread was because someone offered me 8k and I thought that was a bit too low.
Especially as I spent 800 last week on a service and new pads and discs all round and it has PAS and only 36k.
Thanks for the reassurance.

In my opinion £8k is about the right price. A main dealer could possibly sit on your car for the winter and they need to cover their costs. I suggest trying one of the indie TVR dealers, but then of course you need them to have a Tuscan you want.
How about putting it up privately for a rudely low price of say £10,500?, then you're free to negotiate on the Tuscan as a 'cash buyer'. (This comment will upset anyone else trying to sell a Chimaera, but if you want to sell quickly and assuming the car is tidy ...)
