Hi,

I've not been on this forum much as I've had no issues with the car at all! I have however decided to have it detailed. I asked LG Autoworx to renovate the paint, remove the swirls and a few scratches and bring back a nice deep shine.

It has brought to my attention a couple of areas that have been painted (I wouldn't have noticed but the keen eye of a detailer did!) like the sills and front valance, but that's to be expected on a car of this age really.

All in all I'm really happy with the job, it looks a lot better than it did previously. Maybe one day I'll have it all painted, but for now, I think it looks pretty damn good for a 16 year old TVR!

I have come to realise how well painted TVRs were from the factory. I don't think I have ever seen one with orange peel or other defects and it is a fairly straightforward job to renovate the paint to a high standard.

Compare that to some of the appalling factory finishes on modern cars. People spend many hours/£ sanding away the orange peel before buffing to arrive at a finish as good as your Chimaera.

If you don't mind me asking, as it expensive to have fully detailed?

What did they do?
Was it MOP'd etc?

Car looks great!! How much did this set you back? Was it a full correction or an enhancement?

Great job Dan, It has come up like glass!.
The only problem is that you now know how good it can look, so you have to keep it that way smile.

That's the hard part!! It is so easy to inflict swirl marks whilst cleaning!

Yep, I'm going to have to buy a lambswool mitt and some nice wax now. Just ran out of my carnuba wax.

Have a word with Luke at LG Autoworx. He'll be able to give you prices for whatever you want doing, he's very reasonable.

I had a snow foam wash, and paint correction with his mop to remove the swirls and scratches. Then he applied some good quality wax and finished by vacuuming the interior, cleaning the leather and then protecting/conditioning the leather.
