It's time to Renovo the roof again but on applying the dye it will not penetrate the waterseal that's still there from last time. I have used a hood cleaning detergent but the Thompsons water seal is not moving. Any ideas on how to get rid of this?

As usual all thoughts greatly received.

I have no experience of this product but a quick google search led to suggestions of detergent and a pressure washer...just be very careful around the rear window and it's stitching because if it's an older car, the stitching could be weak (years of sunshine/rain), leading to the window being ripped out which could cost £200-£300 to repair.

Thanks for the reply. The window is fairly new so should be ok. I might take it to the local jet wash and give it a whirl, after all, all Chimaeras are waterproof anyway so this shouldn't be a problem wink . I will also try a local upholsterer and seek their views. If anyone has come across this problem it would be great to hear of your way around this!

Thanks
