Need help, does anyone know if you can get the window regulator mechanism refurbished? Have a motor that works but the screw thread that drives the little gearbox has chips missing effecting smoothness. Also the slide screw mechanism also seems a bit flaky. Can get all to work but keeps jamming! See a replacement is nearly 170 so hoping can find a fix.

Mine was exactly the same sticking up or down and mid way. A pain. Inside gearbox even worse with worn nylon teeth on gear wheel. Got a good spare from Valley with well greased motor drive. £100 a pain! Use silicon grease which does not absorb water. Plumbers use it for good reason. Ford Orion motor is the same but gearbox casting a little different but hopefully can be made to fit

Eeww, looks like they used seawater as a lube in there!
