We had to relive the inner wheel arches, but my car has 9 1/2" wide wheels with 255x40 tyres on the rear.

Did the tyre catch the outriggers. I`m not going that wide 245/40/17 or even 345/45/17 with a trackday tyre.

They will fit on a 9" rim .. How do you relieve the inner wings ? any pics

The reason I may go for 235`s is because the Falken 245`s are very close so the Trackday tyres may rub with square shoulders.

Daz you need a 12" rim to fit 345 tyres on, They were first fitted to the Lamborghini countach, and are about £500 a pop, and you will probably have to modify the body somewhat

These are my findings with the Spider wheels, Rears are 18"×8.5" ET33 i'm running a 245-45-18 tyre (max recommended tyre width for a 8.5" rim is 255) Thats an increase in track per side of 25.4mm over the orginal 16"×7.5" Estoril. The 245 tyre catches slightly on the outer edge over big bumps on the passenger side only, I'd say a litte tweak in the geometry or a file of the arch would cure it (winter job). There does seems to be plenty of room on the inner arch for a wider rim maybe even 10's with correct offset and tyre profile choice, I've tried the front spider wheel with its ET42 offset on the rear and it doesn't catch the inner arch but thats using a 225-35-18 tyre, For general info the front Spider wheel 18"×8.5" ET42 with 17mm spacer to bring the wheel center line back to equal the Estoril 15"×7" ET25, theres a track increase of 19mm per side and rack stops aren't required along with no catching with a 225-35-18 tyre. If I get time i'll take some photos this week

You need to consider the outrigger which goes up on an angle ..The 255`s caught on the passenger side rear when banking but not on the other . I painted the outrigger to find paint transfer on the inside edge of the tyre .

I`ve been offered the 9" Pro race at a good price . Currently on 245/40/17`s but I think a road legal track day tyre in that size will catch .. Would a 235/45/17 not be wide enough .At low speed when it caught it actually felt like the car was being pulled to one side ,bloody dangerous .

How would you go about modifying the inner arch ? it`s very thin fibreglass not solid. There seems to be a cavity between to layers ,inner and outer .

Don`t understand why the out riggers are very different each side ,one much closer to the tyre than the other.

If you drop one of the bolts out off the shock absorber then slowly drop the suspension with a trolly jack the outrigger gets closer to the edge of the tyre .

When the car was banking it` actually touched one of the outrigger.

Yours and my wheels are allegedly the same but my wheels measure inside rim to rim, 10" rear and 8.5" front.
