What is it with the paint on these cars? smash

It was going to get resprayed next year anyway, but is now going downhill rapidly and starting to look real minging. All looks like original paint, is this some issue with the gel coat or the paint they used? Think that I'm going to plastidip it in a funky colour if many more blisters appear, any ideas on slowing these things down?

If you do get a respray, go for the Glasurit hard lacquer - I find the softness f the paint such a pain with chips and stone chips.

Yeah it is just water under the lacquer but I don't understand why it is happening, there was no damage on that part and no signs of anything untoward until a massive bit of leprosy appeared.

The paintwork on the boot was already peeling off so I was looking into just having a wrap thrown onto there until I get the chance to have the car sprayed, if these are going to start popping up everywhere too I might make the first rat/missile look chimaera for the time being instead hehe

You could try a chips away type repair.

If it goes bad the cost is pretty cheap anyway, so you're not losing much (costs much less than a wrap) if it goes bad. If it does go bad, you were getting a respray anyway!

Lookup the internet for good ones in your area.

ETA: I think a good coat of wax helps with this water under the lacquer problem?
