Hi chaps,

My drivers side door button no longer works. Press the button, no power. If I stick my head in the cabin I can hear a faint click, in fact the symptoms are the same as when I left the lights on and drained the battery getmecoat

The passenger side still works fine. Also, not sure if it is coincidence, but it seemed to happen after I was cleaning the interior and moved a bundle of wires in the drivers footwell....

Any advice on what I should look for appreciated!

Thanks,

Robert

They get weak with age. You could try spraying the solenoid with some WD40 or similar but for the cost you may as well put a new one in. Dead easy to do and you need the two wire solenoid available just about everywhere.

Just thought I'd update this in case anyone searches for a similar problem. The solenoids are behind a flap next to and just behind the seats. Mine just required a wiggle to get them working again!
