How would this compare to a 5 litre Chimaera ? Went in one twenty years ago and it frightened me to death .

Would be interesting ! I know TWR did lots of stuff to it .

Looks like an XJrS, I had a TWR one and had a complete body kit and 348rwbhp, It took a little bit to wind her up, but from 50/60 mph it was exhilarating all the way . But the most scary thing was stopping from speed, it felt like my eyeballs were going to pop out. I think it had 4 pot calipers and massive discs.
As for comparing it to a 500, it will not be as quick off the mark but probably the same ball park when up to speed. the worst thing about was cornering, even with good suspension it was a big, heavy and very long car and under steer went into over steer in an instant.
It was a great car, but sadly as with a lot of jags, the dreaded metal moth started to devour the floor pans and I did not have the resources or the money at the time to repair it, but the gentleman who bought it from me had every intention of restoring it.
Any way, enough of my reminiscing, both great cars and both deserve a lot of respect. smile

You always seem to be looking for something to replace your chimera.

Don't you fancy a cerbera or one of the modern alternatives. Or is this an extra.
