early model 4.3 or the 5.0?

Hi All,
me again. A lot of excellent information from all of you and I have narrowed it down to 2 cars. I am looking at this purchase for collectability, fun and ease of use.....

I do like the older shape, dark fiesta headlights and non split front grill.....

It's a toss up between a 4.3 or the latest model possible of the 1st series 5.0

So the question is, which car would you have and for what reasons are you swayed?

I don't think its as easy as that, both cars will have pretty much the same power as standard but the 5 litre will have more low down grunt, at the age cars you are going to be looking at it will come down to condition, I don't know how many early 5 litres there are but there was only around 200 430's built so not many to choose from at any one time. look for one with a good chassis & service history if you can.

there are only 84 '430's left, of which 44 are sorn and 1 is a diesel

I have a mark 1 500 and I absolutely love the styling, one thing I will be looking to change will be the faired in headlights. Everything else, is in my eyes perfect !!!
