Amusing 'failure' after cattle grid
Discussion
I slowed to drive over a cattle grid and must have got the speed just right to get maximum vibration as the car and I got shaken very violently.
As soon as the car had got off the grid, the horn started chattering, beep beep bee-beep kind of thing, constantly.
I thought, for goodness sake, what's happened now ?
Then realised that the horn button and switch had been shaken out of the steering wheel centre and was earthing out on the metal of the steering wheel, dangling on the wiring!
Luckily a quiet country lane with no one watching.
At least it was an easy fix, didn't even need to stop ! Is that what they call a "rolling repair" ?
