Hi all, I just wanted to find out some information on my ecu.
It has a Landrover sticker on it and in felt tip it is marked as 4.0 which would seem correct.
I opened it up today to check it as there is a lot of corrosion on the casing and was unsure if the board was also in a poor condition, luckily it is fine but on the "map chip" I was under the impression that it was a lucas chip, mine however is spurious chip made in Singapore and has "JV" in marker pen on it.
Is this an after market chip that has had a remap, or a standard replacement for the 14cux chip.
Has anyone seen the "JV" on a chip before.
Hope this makes sense
cheers Jamie

Sorry about the poor quality photo!

Below if a photograph of the chip I took out of my 450 before fitting a Mark Adams Tornado. As far as I know it is original

Cheers, that looks the same eprom, Mine hasn't got cat or non cat on it, nor engine size.
I'll just have to stop wondering what has been done previously. Every time I check or look at something I wonder if it is standard or not.
