Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Been enjoying some problem free TVR motoring for quite a while now, serviced the car myself and mechanically all is perfect!

Except, after stopping off at the A22 hand car wash with the car, something odd but rather amusing has been happening.

The wipers work perfectly fine when I want them too in all positions, but when their off, occasionally they like to make a complete swipe and return by themselves!

Answers on a postcard please?

Hi
Possibly a dodgy stalk that is going intermittent wipe?.

That might be the case, would I be wrong in thinking a jet of water fired through the vents and the wipers having a 'spaz fit' might be related?

Had exactly the same problem with mine just before the MOT. Then during the MOT they would not operate. Replaced the wiper park switch and everything seems ok.

This would be where I would go on this one as a first port of call...

...in fact it's what I had recently and replacing the park switch *DID* cure it.

If it's doing both a little squirt and a wipe then it's more likely to by the wiper switch on the stalk than the park switch...

I think there will be more dabbing than wiping with the mot list from Bass

Actually - just had some very good news ... someone who I loaned "a bit of money" to about four years ago and as I'd heard nothing from them about it since had assumed that they'd "forgotten" about it conveniently popped up on email and said they could give me a grand of it back ... so that helps towards the bill a bit. biggrin

I like to think I'm a glass half full kinda guy... hehe
