Just went to start it up after sitting for a month and when the fuel pump primed I heard a dripping sound when I looked under the car there was a puddle of fuel. Any ideas what's broken and is it safe to start so I can get it on the ramps. Typical as I just spent a fortune on new wishbones and was about to stick it on the ramps to fit them.

IF it is at the front of the car then NO, fuel dripping around the largest switch (IE the starter) is not good ..check the fuel lines.

Yeah that was my thinking. It's under the drivers footwell. Think I'll disconnect the battery and start investigating. Only seemed to dump what was in the line when the fuel pump primed and then stop. Probably a blessing that I noticed it now and not when driving.

You will find the fuel lines (supply and return) emerging near the rear of the rocker cover on the drivers side, it's not unusual for these to perish.

Initial looks the rubber fuel lines look ok and it doesn't look like the leak was from high up over the engine/manifolds. I'll take them off for further inspection. Are we talking a pain of a job if it's the steel lines further back?

It's more likely to be the rubber or the joint, this shows their positions, although you have an engine in the way. It could also be the fuel reg but that tends to leak into the valley.
