My oil pressure has been all over the place from nothing to 90psi, am I right in thinking this could be down to a broken sender??

Yes, or the wire has chaffed through to the chassis/earth at some point.

Thank you! Funnily enough I have had some electric work done behind the dash quite possibly could be related!

It seems to be the year for knackered oil pressure senders. Mine went a few months ago. Paid full price from racing green for piece of mind but I must admit the readings are always much higher than the old senders ever were.

I have that sender too. When the oil is cold, it reads almost 60 both at idle and when driving. When the oil is fully hot, it reads a little over 30 at idle, and a little over 45 at any rpm above about 2000. The numbers will vary slightly according to what weight of oil you're using - heavier oil will give higher pressures.

I will hopefully get the opportunity over the weekend to establish weather it's an earthing issue or the actual sender!!
