Windscreen replacement

Hopefully some one can point me in the right direction.

I need to get my windscreen replaced for the next MOT and as my insurance company let you use whoever you like, I was hoping there are some recommendations.

I'm based in surrey, so any suggestions greatly received.

That area I'd be looking at Fernhurst or one of the local specialists, although last time Autoglass (Southampton)did mine and did a bloody good job too.

I think you'll find that Fernhurst, APM and Racing Green all use the same fitter.
Now if I could only remember his name / number

Mine is delaminating slowly, passes mot, but may be a time when " cough" i slip when in the garage and accidentally crack it.

out of interest do auto glass stock many windscreens for a Chimaera... How long did it take them to sort?

The could get the screen quicker than I could let the car go to them, so inside a couple of days I seem to remember.

Interestingly, mine cracked on it's own.

I put it away under the cover in the garage, went on holiday and when I took the cover off 2 weeks later there was a bloody great crack across it. Nothing had fallen on it or been leaning on it, the guy reckons that at that bottom corner there is a metal plate that holds the screen frame and if that had a bit of rust on it then a tiny bit of rust growing under would just pop it like it did. Sure enough when the screen came out that plate needed cleaning up.
