Is it possible to replace the copper pipes with braided (i.e the entire system) ? e.g something like this link

http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/braided-b...

It even states that it can used to make up the entire system. Is that true ? I'm not 100% convinced, but for ease of installation it must be easier than working with copper/nickel piping surely... No faffing around trying to get nice bends in awkward places, no need to produce perfect flares etc. Just thread it through/round the chassis to where it needs to go, cable tie in place and there you go.

I'd still keep the braided kit I already have from the 4 chassis fixing points to the callipers, so it would be securely supported at some point and not just 1 continuos run from the brake pipe block to the callipers.

Granted it won't be the cheapest method, but is it worth possibly pursuing ?

I'm fairly sure this has been discussed before Kris and the full system in braided won't fit in some of the tight spaces.
Try a search though because there could have been some useful details when is was discussed

B***s !

Ok cool. Been trying find threads on this all evening but no luck yet for doing the entire system in braided. Will keep looking.

Cheers

What is wrong with the existing copper pipe?

Beware when using all braided that if it is not secured everywhere it will chafe through the chassis paint. You will not be able to use cable ties as they will allow it to vibrate.

Nothing is wrong with the copper pipes, was just curious I suppose to see if anyone else had done it. Fancied doing something different, but if its too much of a headache then will think again.
