Couple of weeks ago we went to the BNG weekend in Blackpool and I was lucky enough to win a Boot Release Upgrade in the raffle at the dinner dance. Spookily enough I had been looking at them earlier in the day as my transmitters were more than a little dodgey and it has always been a pain to have to go into the car to open the boot.
The alarm was donated by HF Solutions, a TVR Meta Alarm Specialist and it came with full telephone support for fitting it to the car. I telephoned Dave from HF Solutions who very kindly gave me advice on the different options available to me. I ended up sending my alarm and transmitters to him for reprogramming by far the easiest solution. Dave charges £45 for re-programming an alarm and £105 if you want two new transmitters - MONEY WELL SPENT IN MY OPINION.
I received the new alarm today and fitted to the car tonight, got it all working - what a difference!! The transmitters now work from a distance whereas before I had to hold them right up against the windscreen for it to unlock/lock the car and the boot now opens as the touch of a button.
