Here we are in the middle of the country (Rugby) and I'm surrounded by fellow chimps, each week brings another, the list so far:
Mine 450 Paris Blue
Alun 450 (where has he gone? Paris Blue 450 1 mile away
?? Very dark purple 450 1 mile away
Another Paris Blue seen running about recently
Black 400 original owner from new 1 mile away
Dark green 400 seen running about recently (local)
To add insult a Griff a couple of miles away, but in fairness he has fitted an engine from a fellow Chimp owner on here
A Griff tucked in a garage which has not seen the light of day for 5 years 500yds away
Is this a record ? could we have our own local Tiv community ???
rich

Don't like the fact that 2/5 Chimaera owners call their Chimaera's "Chimps"... Expected to see it when popping in the Griffith forum come on Rugby boys pull yourselves together
My google map tells me i'm 44 mins away which we all know 44 mins seems like 14 mins when behind the wheel. Often get the Oh Dam i'm here already feelings,so if you Rugby guys are thinking of putting a convoy together count me and my CHIM in please.

I'm secure enough in my masculinity that I don't care what people call 'em ...
In some ways "Chimp" works well in that they're cute, make you smile and are a bit mischievous (however mine doesn't sit drinking its own urine or throwing poop so the comparison only goes so far).
At the end of the day, whatever you call it, I still have conkers like bowling balls from four years of driving the old girl.

Oh, and for the miserable "see you next Tuesday" in Tescos this morning who walked past me when I was gently rolling out of my parking space and grumbled "Why don't you just shut that f*ck*ng noise up" I have only one comment...

So what we have here is a formerly derogatory term for our cars which has been adopted by a proportion of the community and turned into a familiar term among owners, if we're not careful we'll have to start referring to them as the 'c' word. Oh no, there's already one of them, maybe the 'Ch' word so nobody can be offended.
Long live the Ch
mp
Notice title incorrectly spelt,I prefer chimp to that.
